i have 2 little nieces staying in Tasmania. last year, when they were in the bathtub, they were playing with some sponge toys. A was playing with a mouse-shaped one, and T wanted it. so very cleverly, T hatched a plan.

4-year-old T (very gently): A, mouse says it wants to come over to me.

2-year-old A (without even batting an eyelid): mouse can't talk.

though i'm easily persuaded, i'm not so easily convinced. and that, i have to pay the consequences for, because i can be oh-so-stubborn. strong-willed, if you take to euphemism. ;)
