i fell quite sick a month ago and till now, i still don't feel completely well. my sister says my resistance is lower because i'm older.
that made me feel pretty old. and sad for a while.
BUT i'm not even 21! i refuse to accept that i'm old! and, i just want to get well. because school's starting and, i just want to get well. pfft. :<

since we're on the topic of age.
there was an old photo lying on the table, so i picked it up and commented jokingly to my dad that he looks the same, maybe only with a few more lines added to his face. he concluded he still looks the same with little change. so i asked him if i still looked the same. in the picture, i'm probably 4 years old.
"Is that you?"
HMMMMMMMMMMMM.

i went back to my alma mater tonight, and for the first time, watched Drama Night instead of performing in it. it was strange, i unconsciously found myself getting nervous when the lights went off even though this time, i was the audience. 4 years of performance indeed got to me. ;)
it felt great going back. i've always been proud to be part of the Drama Club, proud to have performed all 4 years, proud to have performed in a Gold Award winning SYF piece, proud to have led the club as vice-president, proud to have left my mark.
yes, i did leave my mark. it was nice meeting them teachers after so many years and realising they still remember me.
"yes i remember you! you were miss japan!"
"oh, hi! tiffany!"
"yes of course i remember you, you were my prefect!" :))))))
yes i remember all of you too. all of you. such sweet nostalgia it was. tkgs will always hold a special place in my heart, because it was where i sold my life to the school for 4 years. blood sweat and tears. when i think back of my days there, i don't remember the studying or homework. instead, i remember coming to school with a long to-do list, looking up teachers before school, during recess and after school, planning prefect investitures and conferences, skipping recess for prefect duties, discussing prefectorial issues in class, calling sponsors, doing flag raising, rehearsing for drama night, putting on make up for performances, the rousing applause after each performance, drama, receiving flowers after the show, the adrenaline before the show, saturday practices, and many more.
blood, sweat, and tears. i put in all. i really did.
i believe i left my mark, made a difference. hey prefects, they're still using the acronym "POPs". we left a legacy. ;)
when we were there, the tkgian school motto was to be demure and resolute. mun yuk mentioned before that i was the first tkgian to fulfill the demure part. HAHA. and for that mun yuk, this is for you. :D
p.s. nagz and sanjiv, i saw both your sisters' names on the board too. haha. ;)
