impromtu speech was hilarious today. albeit stressful.

topic: global warming

"so! isn't it really hot nowadays? turn on the fan you're still hot, turn on the air con, you're still hot. it's because of global warming. and guess what? the ice caps are going to melt so we'd better learn how to swim! how many of you know how to swim here? you see? not many! so it's going to be terrible when global warming melts the ice caps cos we're all going to have to swim! we all better learn how to swim now!"

topic: my hero

"my mother is my hero. she saves me from hunger when i go home cos she cooks my lunch and dinner for me. but she doesn't cook me breakfast cos she's busy. she's a kindergarden teacher. she saves little children from stupidity. she imparts her powers to the little children so that when they grow up they will become heroes too. so she's a hero teaching little heroes. she saves me from boredom too. when i'm bored, i go to her and tell her, 'i'm bored.' she will then tell me stories of how she fights the dragon - her work."

my topic was: living life on the edge

man, i totally talked nonsense for 2 mins 11 secs. i can't even exactly remember what i was babbling.

"remember my first speech on wakeboarding? well it's like living life on the edge! we can live life on the edge anywhere! even with our projects, with deadlines drawing near, and we have to work through the night, we live life on the edge! but always remember that you can do it! i would encourage everyone to try living life on the edge! it is very addictive! once you try it you'll want to do it again and again and again! try it for yourself!"

ok seriously i can't remember the other nonsense i talked about. i seriously had no idea what to say. gee! there goes 10% of my grade!

but on another note, i'm done with speech and presentation. 2 individual speeches, 1 group speech, 1 impromtu speech. i'm done! :)
