boo!
we watched a bit of horror film The Maid during IT lecture today. We were supposed to notice how the camera was on constant motion and all that technicalities, but really, everyone was too engrossed in the show to notice all of that. furthermore, the LT was huuuuuge! i think it's bigger than the normal cinemas, and there were probably only 80 of us, so it was really empty. AND when all the lights were switched off it got really dark, so we were all kinda too spooked out to remember the educational purpose behind it.
so i was sitting in the middle of midi and bangkok, and all 3 of us are not the typical horror movie lovers. all our eyes were focussed on the maid, when suddenly a pair of hands grabbed her legs out of nowhere (of course there was the accompanying boom in the music). midi and bangkok literally jumped in their seats while screaming, and because i was sitting in the middle of both of them, i got a shock and semi-jumped in my seat as well. they shocked me so much more than the show la. gosh! ;)
then we watched a bit of In The Mood For Love. there was plenty of time in this one to notice the cinematography, which i must admit, was awesome. it had beautiful shots and artistic concepts. the producers outdid themselves. but it was a very slooow moving show. don't watch it if you're tired, it'll really put you to sleep.
in tutorial today, a girl was presenting on the issue of piracy in Singapore. so the class started discussing about the issue, and everyone unanimously agreed that piracy is wrong, but we will still do it. hohoho. everyone was adamant about that fact. the tutor was momentarily at a loss for words. ;)
